Ricoh Caplio RX review
Ricoh is back with its new camera, the Ricoh Caplio RX which is a very exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was announced in North America on the 06/3/04. This nice little piece of technology measures 112 x 29 x 56 mm and weights 215 g. The Caplio RX can be set to a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Ricoh Caplio RX is 4:3, making a camera of 3.1 mega pixels. The sensor on the Caplio RX is a CCD measuring only 1/2.7 " using a RGB color filter. Ricoh added a digital zoom on its Caplio RX and included an internal flash which is always essential in a camera .
The normal focus range is 30 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Caplio RX is 8 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this version being a very useful function. The Ricoh Caplio RX includes an internal memory of 8 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SD/MMC card + Internal. The LCD screen available on the Caplio RX measures 1.8 ". There is also a video out output available allowing you to watch your favorite pictures on television.
Connection to a computer is available through USB. To conclude, we really believe that the Ricoh Caplio RX is a fantastic camera and we encourage anyone interested in a great camera to consider this great camera.
