Samsung presents its new conception, the Samsung Digimax A55W which is a very exciting camera and setting new standards in the market! It was announced in North America on the 02/6/05. The Samsung Digimax A55W will be sold at a retail price of 144in the US, a great price for such a camera. This nice little piece of technology measures 106 x 56 x 27 mm and is weighting only 185 g. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2272 x 1704, 2048 x 1704, 1600 x 1200, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The sensor of the Digimax A55W is a CCD which measures 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter. Samsung implemented a digital zoom on the Digimax A55W and included an internal flash being very common in new cameras .
The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 60 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Digimax A55W is 2 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/1000 seconds. Movies are supported in this model being a very useful function. The Samsung Digimax A55W has an internal memory of 32 mb and can be extended with SD/MMC card + Internal. The LCD implemented in the Digimax A55W diagonally measures 2.5 ". A video output is available allowing you to watch your pictures on TV.
