Samsung unveils its new model, the Samsung Digimax i5 which is a very exciting camera and setting new standards in the market! It was shown in North America on the 24/5/05. The Samsung Digimax i5 has been launched at a price of 224in the US, a great deal. This model measures 90 x 60 x 17 mm and weights 155 g. The Digimax i5 can be set to a maximum resolution of 2595 x 1944. It also supports a lower resolution of 2272 x 1704, 2048 x 1704, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Samsung Digimax i5 is 4:3, making a camera of 5.0 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the Digimax i5 is a CCD measuring only 1/2.5 " using a RGB color filter.
Samsung implemented a digital zoom on the Digimax i5 and also added an internal flash being very common in new cameras . The normal focus range is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Digimax i5 is 1 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported on this camera being a very useful function.
