Samsung unveils its new conception, the Samsung Digimax V800 which is a very exciting camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was announced on the North American market on the 03/6/05. The Samsung Digimax V800 was initially targeted at a retail price of 379in North America, a very interesting deal. This model measures 106 x 57 x 30 mm and weights 220 g. The Digimax V800 has for maximum resolution 3264 x 2448. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 2816 x 2112, 2592 x 1944, 2272 x 1704, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image on the Samsung Digimax V800 is 4:3, making a total of 8.0 mega pixels.
The sensor of the Digimax V800 is a CCD which measures 1/1.8 " and uses a RGB color filter. Samsung added a digital zoom on its Digimax V800 and also added an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 80 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Digimax V800 was set at 15 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this model which is always a useful function.
The Samsung Digimax V800 camera has an internal storage of 32 mb and can be extended with SD/MMC card + Internal. The LCD screen of the Digimax V800 is measuring 2.5 ".
