Sanyo Xacti DSC-S4 review
Sanyo launches its new camera, the Sanyo Xacti DSC-S4 which is an exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was presented in North America on the 19/5/04. The Sanyo Xacti DSC-S4 has been launched at a price of 380in the US, no bad for all this technology. This model measures 91 x 62 x 31 mm and is weighting only 185 g. The Xacti DSC-S4 has for maximum resolution 2288 x 1712. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Sanyo Xacti DSC-S4 is 4:3, making a total of 3.9 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the Xacti DSC-S4 is a CCD measuring only 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter.
Sanyo added a digital zoom on its Xacti DSC-S4 and included an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the Xacti DSC-S4 is 2 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Sanyo Xacti DSC-S4 camera has an internal storage of 16 mb extendable with external storage with SD/MMC card + Internal.
The LCD implemented in the Xacti DSC-S4 diagonally measures 1.8 ". Connection to a computer is available through USB. To finish, we think the Sanyo Xacti DSC-S4 is a very interesting camera and we encourage anyone interested in a great camera to consider this item.
