Sony impresses with its new conception, the Sony DSC-F55V which is a great camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was presented in the US on the 26/4/00. The Sony DSC-F55V will be sold for 800in the US, a very interesting deal. The DSC-F55V gets a maximum resolution of 1856 x 1392. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Sony DSC-F55V has been set at 4:3, 3:2, making a total of 2.6 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the DSC-F55V is a CCD having for dimensions 1/1.8 " having a RGB color filter.
Sony implemented a digital zoom on the DSC-F55V with an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 25 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the DSC-F55V is 8 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this model being a very useful function. The Sony DSC-F55V has an internal memory of 8 mb and can be extended with Memory Stick. The LCD screen available on the DSC-F55V diagonally measures 2.0 ". A video out plug exists letting you see your pictures on television.
