Sony DSC-M2 review
Sony strikes back with its new conception, the Sony DSC-M2 which is a very special camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was announced in the US on the 13/9/05. The Sony DSC-M2 has been launched at a price of 428in the US, considered affordable for such a camera. This model measures 51 x 123 x 32 mm while it weights only 240 g. The DSC-M2 has for maximum resolution 2592 x 1944. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The image ratio (w/h) on the Sony DSC-M2 is 4:3, 3:2, making a camera of 5.0 mega pixels. The sensor of the DSC-M2 is a CCD which measures 1/2.5 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Sony implemented a digital zoom on the DSC-M2 and included an internal flash being very common in new cameras . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 50 cm. The min. shutter speed of the DSC-M2 is 1 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 seconds. Movies are supported in this version being a very useful function. The Sony DSC-M2 includes an internal memory of 32 mb extendable with external storage with Memory Stick Duo / Pro Duo. The LCD screen available on the DSC-M2 measures 2.5 ".
There is also a video out output available allowing you to watch your pictures on TV. Connection to a computer is available through USB. To conclude, we believe the Sony DSC-M2 makes a great camera and we recommend our readers to consider this great camera.
