Sony DSC-P100 review
Sony arrives this year with its new camera, the Sony DSC-P100 which is a very exciting camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was presented on the North American market on the 11/2/04. The Sony DSC-P100 will be sold for 400in North America, a great price for such a camera. This nice little piece of technology measures 108 x 52 x 27 mm and is weighting only 180 g. The DSC-P100 has for maximum resolution 2592 x 1944. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The image ratio on the Sony DSC-P100 is set at 4:3, 3:2, making a total of 5.0 mega pixels.
The sensor on the DSC-P100 is a CCD which measures 1/1.8 " and uses a RGB color filter. Sony implemented a digital zoom on the DSC-P100 and also added an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 50 cm. The min. shutter speed of the DSC-P100 is 30 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/1000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this model being a very useful function. The Sony DSC-P100 camera has an internal storage of 32 mb extendable with external storage with Memory Stick / Pro.
The LCD implemented in the DSC-P100 measures 1.8 ". A video out plug exists letting you see your pictures on television. Connection to a computer is available through USB. To finish, we think the Sony DSC-P100 makes a fantastic camera and we would encourage you to consider this item.
