Sony DSC-P10 review
Sony strikes back with its new camera, the Sony DSC-P10 which is a great camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was presented in the US on the 24/2/03. The Sony DSC-P10 will be sold for 600in the US, a very fair price. This nice camera measures 105 x 52 x 36 mm and weights 206 g. The DSC-P10 offers a maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Sony DSC-P10 is set at 4:3, 3:2, for a total of 5.0 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the DSC-P10 is a CCD measuring only 1/1.8 " using a RGB color filter.
Sony implemented a digital zoom on the DSC-P10 and included an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 50 cm. The min. shutter speed of the DSC-P10 is 2 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Sony DSC-P10 includes an internal memory of 32 mb and can be extended with external storage by using Memory Stick / Pro.
The LCD screen available on the DSC-P10 diagonally measures 1.5 ". There is also a video out output available letting you see your pictures on television. USB connectivity to a computer is supported.
