Sony DSC-P8 review
Sony arrives this year with its new conception, the Sony DSC-P8 which is a great camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was announced on the North American market on the 24/2/03. The Sony DSC-P8 has been launched at a price of 400in the US, considered affordable for such a camera. This model measures 105 x 52 x 36 mm and weights 206 g. The DSC-P8 has for maximum resolution 2048 x 1536. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1632 x 1224, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Sony DSC-P8 has been set at 4:3, 3:2, making a camera of 3.1 mega pixels.
The internal sensor on the DSC-P8 is a CCD which measures only 1/2.7 " and uses a RGB color filter. Sony added a digital zoom on its DSC-P8 and also added an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the DSC-P8 was set at 2 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this version being a very useful function. The Sony DSC-P8 camera has an internal storage of 16 mb and can be extended with external storage by using Memory Stick / Pro.
The LCD implemented in the DSC-P8 diagonally measures 1.5 ". A video out plug exists making it handy to watch pictures on your television. A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer. To finish, we think the Sony DSC-P8 makes a great camera and we would encourage you to buy this wonderful camera.
