Sony arrives this year with its new model, the Sony DSC-S30 which is a very special camera and setting new standards in the market! It was unveiled in North America on the 02/2/00. The Sony DSC-S30 is sold at a price of 600in the United States, considered affordable for such a camera. The DSC-S30 offers a maximum resolution of 1280 x 960. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Sony DSC-S30 is 4:3, 3:2, for a total of 1.2 mega pixels. The sensor of the DSC-S30 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/2.7 " and uses a RGB color filter. Sony included a digital zoom on the DSC-S30 with an internal flash being very common in new cameras .
The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 25 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the DSC-S30 is 8 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/725 seconds. The Sony DSC-S30 has an internal memory of 4 mb extendable with external storage with Memory Stick. The LCD screen available on the DSC-S30 is measuring 2.0 ". There is also a video out output available allowing you to watch your favorite pictures on television.
