Sony DSC-S40 review
Sony launches its new conception, the Sony DSC-S40 which is a special camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was announced in North America on the 19/2/05. The Sony DSC-S40 has been launched at a price of 188in North America, a great deal. This nice little piece of technology measures 99 x 52 x 34 mm and has for weight 184 g. The DSC-S40 has for maximum resolution 2304 x 1728. It also supports a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Sony DSC-S40 is 4:3, 3:2, making a camera of 4.0 mega pixels. The sensor on the DSC-S40 is a CCD of dimensions 1/2.7 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Sony included a digital zoom on the DSC-S40 and also added an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The minimum shutter speed on the DSC-S40 is 30 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The Sony DSC-S40 camera has an internal storage of 32 mb and can be extended with external storage by using Memory Stick / Pro + Internal. The LCD screen available on the DSC-S40 is measuring 1.5 ".
