Sony DSC-S50 review
Sony strikes back with its new model, the Sony DSC-S50 which is a very exciting camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was announced on the North American market on the 02/2/00. The Sony DSC-S50 is sold at a price of 840in the US, a great deal. The DSC-S50 delivers a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200. It also supports a lower resolution of 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image on the Sony DSC-S50 is 4:3, 3:2, making a total of 1.9 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the DSC-S50 is a CCD which measures 1/2.7 " having a RGB color filter. Sony added a digital zoom on its DSC-S50 and also added an internal flash being very common in new cameras .
The normal focus range is 25 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the DSC-S50 was set at 8 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/725 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this model which is always a useful function. The Sony DSC-S50 has an internal storage space of 4 mb extendable by using Memory Stick. The LCD screen available on the DSC-S50 measures 2.0 ". There is also a video out output available letting you see your pictures on television.
USB connectivity to a computer is supported. Briefly, we believe the Sony DSC-S50 makes a great camera and we encourage anyone interested in a great camera to consider this great camera.
