Sony DSC-S60 review
Sony impresses with its new conception, the Sony DSC-S60 which is a very special camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was announced on the North American market on the 19/2/05. The Sony DSC-S60 has been launched at a price of 199in the United States, a very fair price. This nice camera measures 97 x 64 x 40 mm while weights 249 g. The DSC-S60 gets a maximum resolution of 2304 x 1728. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the Sony DSC-S60 has been set at 4:3, 3:2, for a total of 4.0 mega pixels.
The sensor on the DSC-S60 is a CCD measuring only 1/2.7 " having a RGB color filter. Sony added a digital zoom on its DSC-S60 and also added an internal flash being very common in new cameras . The normal focus range is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the DSC-S60 is 30 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 seconds. The movie mode is supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The Sony DSC-S60 camera has an internal storage of 32 mb extendable by using Memory Stick / Pro + Internal.
The LCD screen of the DSC-S60 is measuring 2.0 ". A video out plug exists allowing you to watch your pictures on TV. Connection to a computer is available through USB. To summarize, we think the Sony DSC-S60 is a fantastic camera and we greatly encourage our readers to buy this wonderful camera.
