Sony DSC-T9 review
Sony is back with its new camera, the Sony DSC-T9 which is a very exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was unveiled in the US on the 01/11/05. The Sony DSC-T9 is sold at a price of 382in North America, no bad for all this technology. This nice little piece of technology measures 90 x 55 x 21 mm while it weights only 185 g. The DSC-T9 gets a maximum resolution of 2816 x 2112. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image on the Sony DSC-T9 is 4:3, 3:2, making a camera of 6.0 mega pixels. The sensor on the DSC-T9 is a CCD which measures 1/2.4 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Sony included a digital zoom on the DSC-T9 with an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the DSC-T9 was set at 2 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 seconds. Movies are supported in this version which is always a useful function. The Sony DSC-T9 has an internal memory of 32 mb and can be extended with external storage by using Memory Stick Duo / Pro Duo.
The LCD screen available on the DSC-T9 measures 2.5 ". A video out plug exists making it handy to watch pictures on your television. Connection to a computer is available through USB. To finish, we really believe that the Sony DSC-T9 is a great camera and we encourage anyone interested in a great camera to buy this wonderful camera.
