Sony DSC-U20 review
Sony arrives this year with its new conception, the Sony DSC-U20 which is an exciting camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was presented on the North American market on the 24/9/02. The Sony DSC-U20 has been launched at a price of 280in the United States, a great deal. The DSC-U20 delivers a maximum resolution of 1632 x 1224. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Sony DSC-U20 is 4:3, making a total of 2.0 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the DSC-U20 is a CCD measuring only 1/2.7 " with a RGB color filter.
The normal focus range is 10 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the DSC-U20 is 1/30 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported in this model being a very useful function. The Sony DSC-U20 has an internal storage space of 8 mb and can be extended with Memory Stick. The LCD screen available on the DSC-U20 is measuring 1.0 ". Connection to a computer is available through USB.
