Sony unveils its new camera, the Sony DSC-U40 which is a special camera and setting new standards in the market! It was presented on the North American market on the 22/10/03. The Sony DSC-U40 has been launched at a price of 220in the United States, considered affordable for such a camera. The DSC-U40 has for maximum resolution 1632 x 1224. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Sony DSC-U40 has been set at 4:3, making a camera of 2.0 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the DSC-U40 is a CCD which measures 1/2.7 " using a RGB color filter.
The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 10 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the DSC-U40 was set at 1/8 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The Sony DSC-U40 camera has an internal storage of 8 mb and can be extended with external storage by using Memory Stick Duo / Pro Duo. The LCD screen of the DSC-U40 measures 1.0 ".
