Sony DSC-W100 review
Sony is back with its new model, the Sony DSC-W100 which is an exciting camera and setting new standards in the market! It was unveiled in the US on the 25/2/06. The Sony DSC-W100 has been launched at a price of 332in the United States, a great price for such a camera. The DSC-W100 gets a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2592 x 1944, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The image ratio on the Sony DSC-W100 is 4:3, 3:2, making a total of 8.0 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the DSC-W100 is a CCD measuring only 1/1.8 " having a RGB color filter. Sony implemented a digital zoom on the DSC-W100 and included an internal flash being very common in new cameras .
The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 50 cm. The min. shutter speed of the DSC-W100 is 30 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this version being a very useful function. The Sony DSC-W100 includes an internal memory of 64 mb extendable with external storage with Memory Stick Duo / Pro Duo + Internal. The LCD screen of the DSC-W100 diagonally measures 2.5".
There is also a video out output available allowing you to watch your pictures on TV. A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer. To finish, we think the Sony DSC-W100 is a great camera and we encourage anyone interested in a great camera to consider this item.
