Sony DSC-W50 review
Sony presents its new camera, the Sony DSC-W50 which is a very exciting camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was unveiled in North America on the 13/2/06. The Sony DSC-W50 will be sold at a retail price of 249in the US, considered affordable for such a camera. The DSC-W50 can be set to a maximum resolution of 2816 x 2112. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1920 x 1080, 1632 x 1224, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Sony DSC-W50 has been set at 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, for a total of 6.0 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the DSC-W50 is a CCD of dimensions 1/2.5 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Sony added a digital zoom on its DSC-W50 and included an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the DSC-W50 is 1 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Sony DSC-W50 has an internal memory of 32 mb and can be extended with external storage by using Memory Stick Duo / Pro Duo + Internal.
The LCD screen of the DSC-W50 is measuring 2.5". A video output is available letting you see your pictures on television. USB connectivity to a computer is supported. To finish, we think the Sony DSC-W50 makes a very attractive camera and we recommend our readers to consider this great camera.
