Sony Mavica FD-100 review
Sony impresses with its new conception, the Sony Mavica FD-100 which is a very special camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was unveiled in the US on the 08/1/02. The Sony Mavica FD-100 will be sold at a retail price of 400in North America, a great price for such a camera. The Mavica FD-100 can be set to a maximum resolution of 1280 x 960. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image on the Sony Mavica FD-100 has been set at 4:3, making a total of 1.2 mega pixels. The sensor of the Mavica FD-100 is a CCD of dimensions 1/2.7 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Sony added a digital zoom on its Mavica FD-100 and included an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The min. shutter speed of the Mavica FD-100 is 2 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/500 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this version which is always a useful function. The Sony Mavica FD-100 includes an internal memory of 1.44 mb extendable by using Disk 3.5" (2x speed) or MemoryStick (slot). The LCD screen available on the Mavica FD-100 is measuring 2.5 ".
A video output is available allowing you to watch your pictures on TV. Connection to a computer is available through USB. To conclude, we believe the Sony Mavica FD-100 is a great camera and we encourage anyone interested in a great camera to consider this item.
