Sony impresses with its new camera, the Sony Mavica FD-200 which is a very special camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was unveiled in North America on the 08/1/02. The Sony Mavica FD-200 was initially targeted at a retail price of 268in the United States, a great price for such a camera. The Mavica FD-200 delivers a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200. It also supports a lower resolution of 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image on the Sony Mavica FD-200 is 4:3, making a camera of 1.9 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the Mavica FD-200 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/2.7 " using a RGB color filter.
Sony included a digital zoom on the Mavica FD-200 and included an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range is 19.2 mm. The minimum shutter speed on the Mavica FD-200 is 2 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/500 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this model being a very useful function.
