Sony is back with its new conception, the Sony Mavica FD-90 which is a great camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was presented in North America on the 03/2/00. The Sony Mavica FD-90 is sold at a price of 900in North America, a great deal. The Mavica FD-90 offers a maximum resolution of 1280 x 960. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1280 x 848 (3:2) & 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the Sony Mavica FD-90 is 4:3, making a camera of 1.2 mega pixels. The sensor on the Mavica FD-90 is a CCD of dimensions 1/2.7 " having a RGB color filter.
Sony added a digital zoom on its Mavica FD-90 and included an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 4 cm. The Sony Mavica FD-90 includes an internal memory of 1.44 mb and can be extended with external storage by using Disk 3.5" + MemoryStick via adapter. The LCD screen available on the Mavica FD-90 diagonally measures 2.5 ". There is also a video out output available making it handy to watch pictures on your television.
